Meals
Do my meals come fresh or frozen?
All our meals are made fresh the day before delivery, and delivered direct to your door.

Can I freeze my meals?
Yes! We always recommend eating Macrobite meals fresh as they were intended, but if necessary you can freeze them for up to a month, then simply reheat and enjoy.

What is the shelf life on your food?
Generally, we recommend that our meals are consumed fresh within a one week period, this can however vary depending on the meal. Any seafood based meal will be best consumed within 5 days of receiving your order.

Do I get to choose what meals I have delivered week to week?
Absolutely! We stand by the quality of EVERY Macrobite meal and therefore offer free rein when selecting your meals. However, if you would prefer to leave the decision up to our expert chefs and receive a discount on your meals, see our Trust the Chef options in our menu.

Are your containers microwave safe?
Yes! All Macrobite containers are 100% microwavable.

Do you offer a weekly subscription service?
At this time we do not offer a weekly subscription service, however we will be introducing one in the near future.

Can I eat your meals if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
We recommend speaking to your doctor regarding your nutritional needs while pregnant or breastfeeding before consuming Macrobite meals.

If I have dietary needs can you accommodate them?
At Macrobite we have attempted to create a menu that appeals to individuals with varying dietary needs. We also provide a notes section in our checkout allowing you to request changes to our dishes to better suit your requirements. All requests will be reviewed by a member of the Macrobite team and responded to.

What if I have food allergies?
All allergens are listed on the individual meals within our menu. While we take great care to maintain a clean kitchen, avoid cross-contamination and meet all necessary food standards, we do handle products within our production area that contain wheat, soy, dairy, egg, sesame seeds, tree nuts, shellfish, fish, lupin and other potential allergens. We therefore cannot guarantee that any of our meals are completely free from these products.

Orders
How do I place an online order?
Simply go to the menu page and begin adding items to your cart, or, alternatively, you can choose one of our Trust the Chef options. Enter your details at the checkout (including any delivery instructions) and your meals will be delivered fresh to your door on Monday.

Is there a minimum order spend?
Yes, we require a minimum order of $50 including delivery.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Mastercard, Visa card, Paypal and Shop Pay.

Delivery
When is the delivery cut off?
Saturday 12pm (AEST)

How much is delivery?
All orders will incur a $15 flat rate delivery charge.

When will my meals be delivered?
Orders placed prior to our order cut off time will be delivered on Monday between 6am-6pm (residential addresses) and 9am-5pm (business addresses).
Any orders placed after the 12pm Saturday deadline will be processed and prepared for delivery the following Monday.

Will public holidays effect delivery?
Yes, public holidays will result in orders being delivered on Tuesday rather than Monday. This will not affect the freshness of your meals, cooking will still take place the day prior to delivery.

Where do you deliver to?
Macrobite currently delivers within a 20km distribution radius from Eastlakes, Sydney.

What if I live in a complex or high rise?
You will need to provide us with all relevant delivery information including any necessary entry/security codes. If this is not provided, your meals will be left out the front of the complex.

What if I'm not home to accept the delivery?
Macrobite uses specialised Woolcool packaging to ensure the ongoing integrity and freshness of our food. This insulated lining made from 100% pure wool is a trusted, fully recyclable, Australian product that protects perishable goods from spoilage for at least 24 hours by maintaining temperatures below 5°c.

For regular consumers, we encourage leaving your Woolcool box outside your house on a Monday, with the lid open, for us to recycle upon dropping off your next delivery.

Can I pick up my orders from a physical location?
Currently, Macrobite operates out of a commercial kitchen in Sydney and does not have a physical pick-up location. However, you can contact us directly to discuss an alternate method.

Storing & Heating
How do I store my meals?
Simply store in a refrigerator or freeze to consume later.

How do I heat and prepare my meals?
Heat for 2.5 - 3 minutes in a microwave or oven. You can also opt to heat in a pan over medium heat.

Do I need to cook my meals?
No. Our meals come ready to heat and eat. There is no cooking necessary.

Refunds/Exchanges
Do you offer refunds if I receive the wrong order?
Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with a photo of what you received to discuss a solution.

Do you offer refunds or exchanges if I change my mind?
We do not offer refunds or exchanges based on change of mind. However, if you change your mind prior to our delivery cut off time please feel free to contact us directly to have your order reviewed and/or changed.

What if my meal arrives and it's not what I saw online?
Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with a photo of what you received to discuss a solution.
